Makeup plays a huge role in female fashion. Good makeup, perfectly matched with the corresponding clothes can make a women look very stunning and sexy. To avoid some of the mistakes when you are working on your makeup, we are going to take a look at some of the latest makeup trends for 2016.

First, we are going to start with Chestnut Colored Lipstick. This one is very interesting and has emerged at the beginning of the 2016. It is a color that is little darker than tan but still a little brighter than brown color. This shade of color has somehow vintage feeling and look to it and is very unique. All you need to have if you want this style is little bit of mascara and concealer. If you take a look at Kenzo for instance, you can see the perfect example of this trend. The next makeup trend is Faux Freckles and Clumpy Lashes. At this spring’s revival, makeup artist Georgina Graham tried her new trend on teenage Shelly Duvall. Of course, this style consists of these clumpy lashes and faux freckles. It was done by holding the stick parallel to the lashes and brushing them back and forth in a certain motion in order for lashes to become more clumpy. When we talk about freckles, three pencils with the different colors were used. It is simple, use all of the three pencils to create dots all over the skin, but scattering them in a random spots to make it more realistic. Next interesting makeup trend is 70s tropical eyes. This new, but somehow retro style gained it is huge popularity in 2016 and is created by Lloyd Simmonds. It is created by using cyan and yellow which is then applied in stripes, with a combination of both in the middle. It is important to make the cheeks colorful too, so a wash of flush on the cheekbones Is needed, and you are ready to go.

The next one is pretty classic, but is very popular this year and I saw it numerous times. It is called red lips. Makeup artist Pat McGrath said that the red is back this year, and she painted the lips of the models with the very strong orange-red lipstick color. Also, she was using only the concealer on skin, and wow- the result was stunning! Interesting Is that no other makeup was used, just the concealer and orange-red lipstick, so this is fairly simple but stunning combination. Speaking about Pat McGrath, we will take a look at another of her creation- Brilliant Gold Shadow. When she launched her Gold 001 product on Instagram, everybody was obsessed with the yellow color. Luckily, the brightest yellow color is still available for shopping and is one of the most popular shadows out there. And for the end, something dark- dark lips and eyes. Simply line your eyes with the black pencil and blend the pigment soft with the smudging brush. Apply the black mascara and grab your dark-red lipstick, add a bit of tone to your cheeks and you’re ready to go.
